The crew app, day to day
What crew members and subcontractors see in the phone app. Find today's visits, call or text the client, send On My Way, get directions and mark a visit complete.
Applies to: Crew, Subcontractors, on the phone app. Last checked 2026-10-18.
If you’re on a team as a crew member or a subcontractor, you work in the FieldFlow phone app. The web dashboard is for owners and admins. If you sign in on the web, you’ll see a page that points you to the phone app.
The crew app has three tabs at the bottom: My Jobs, My Time and Settings.
My Jobs
My Jobs lists the visits you’re on, grouped as Today, Tomorrow, Upcoming, Recent and Unscheduled. The office puts people on each visit, so a job can show for one date and not the next. You see your own visits only.
Each row shows the job title, the time, the client and the job’s address. Swipe a row left to call the client or start directions.
Pull down to refresh. If a visit you expected isn’t there, tell the office.
On a job
Tap a job to open it. You’ll see the client’s name, the address and the date and time of your visit. Under them is a row of buttons:
- Call and Text open your phone’s dialer and Messages.
- On My Way opens Messages with a short note ready to send, saying you’re on the way. It goes from your own phone number.
- Navigate opens the address in your maps app. You can also tap the address.
Call, Text and On My Way show only when the client has a phone number. Navigate shows only when the job has an address.
Below that you’ll find:
- Client notes, when the office has written some (crew members only).
- My Hours and Entries: your time on this job.
- Add Expense, to log materials or supplies for this job (crew members only).
- Time entries and Notes & photos tabs. See Track your time and Notes and photos.
You don’t see prices, invoices or the client’s other jobs. Crew members who can quote and take payment also see a Quote & collect section (see Field sales).
Mark your visit complete
Mark Visit Complete shows at the bottom while the job is open, once your visit’s day has come, until the visit is complete. On a completed job you see Job Complete there instead. When you’re done, tap it, then Complete Visit. This tells the office you’re finished with that visit. Get your hours and notes in first.
If your timer is still going, FieldFlow asks you to stop it first, so your hours are saved.
You complete visits, not whole jobs. A one-time job closes on its own once its last visit is done. See Complete visits and jobs.
