The support problem.

When the app you invoice from has a problem, how fast someone answers is part of the price. If that matters to you, read a few recent Housecall Pro reviews on Capterra and G2 before you decide.

FieldFlow is a small team that answers its own support email, on every account, and aims to reply the same day. There is no support tier and nothing to pay for faster help. The 90-day trial is long enough to test that yourself.

The pricing jump.

Housecall Pro Basic starts at $59/month for a single user. That looks reasonable. But the moment you hire one person and need a second user, you jump to Essentials at $149/month, a 153% increase.

FieldFlow is $19/month for unlimited users, QuickBooks customer import included. One person or fifteen, the price does not move. For a two-person shop that is $149 against $19: $130 a month, $1,560 a year.

What Housecall Pro does better.

Housecall Pro has things FieldFlow does not: Campaigns for email, text and postcard marketing, online booking from Google or your website, route optimization and GPS tracking, and on the MAX plan a dedicated onboarding specialist and escalated phone support. If marketing campaigns or online booking are central to how you get work, Housecall Pro has them.

What FieldFlow does better.

Expenses logged from any receipt, with no company card needed. A mileage log that needs no $20-a-vehicle GPS unit. A P&L export mapped to Schedule C lines. One price, no per-user fee, no jump at the second hire. Flow, an assistant that books the job and drafts the invoice. And an app built for a phone held in one hand.

Who should choose what.

Choose FieldFlow if:

You run a 1–5 person shop and want the schedule, the estimates, the invoices, the payments, and the books in one app at a price that does not change when you hire. Bring your customers over from a spreadsheet or your phone contacts; FieldFlow flags the duplicates.

Choose Housecall Pro if:

You need Campaigns for email, text and postcard marketing, online booking, or route optimization and GPS tracking, and $149–$299 a month for the plans that carry the last two is fine.
