Add notes and photos from the field

Notes and photos keep a record of the work: what you found, what you did, and how it looked before and after.

Add a note

1. Open the job from My Jobs and tap the Notes & photos tab.
2. Tap Add Note.
3. Type in What happened?
4. To add pictures, tap + Add photos, then Take Photo or Choose from Library. You can pick up to 10 at a time.
5. If you like, tap a tag (Estimate, Before, Progress or Completed) or type a label in Add label.
6. Tap Save.

A note needs some text or at least one photo.

Who sees your notes

The notes you add are marked Client-Facing. The office sees them. The client can see them too, on the job’s page, when the office shares that page with them. Write them with that in mind.

On the Notes & photos tab you see the Client-Facing notes on the job, from you, the office and anyone else on the crew. The office’s Internal notes stay with the office.

Change or delete a note

Tap the … on a note you wrote, then Edit or Delete. You can only change your own notes. Changing or deleting a note needs a connection.

With no signal

Adding a note and its photos works with no signal. The photos stay on your phone with a waiting mark until they upload, which happens on its own when the signal comes back. Don’t delete the app until they’ve gone up.

If you have a lot of photos waiting (500 MB), FieldFlow asks you to let those upload before you add more.
